Went to watch F&F and it was awesome..!! Heading back to the streets where it all began, two men rejoin two women to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert. When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Connor. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmaneuver him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what's possible behind the wheels. Im giving Fast & Furious a 8,5/10....lol! Damn i need to download the first F&F to recall the story as both of these movies got a lil bit of connection.

The Shinjuku Incident

morning you cool guys out there! I just watched The Shijuku Incident last night and it totally rocks! I've seen a lot of Jackie's movie but this is the first time i watched his movie without him doing any kungfu acts...not even once in that movie..

it's no more Mr Nice Guy for Jackie Chan as he trades his image of old for a morally-complex character who reluctantly becomes a gang boss in this thoughtful, if brutal, gangster drama.

A cross between One Nite In Mongkok and Goodfellas, the film's already been banned in China for being too violent.

It remains to be seen whether its blood and violence will get past British censors.

Chan plays an illegal Chinese immigrant called Steelhead (so called because he's a mechanic) who arrives in Tokyo looking for his childhood sweetheart Xiuxiu.

Nothing has prepared our good-natured lover for the harsh realities of life in Japan, however, and he soon falls foul of the local Triads.

Forced into a corner, he must fall in with a rival gang to survive.

Lacking Chan's trademark stunt and balletic martial-arts, Shinjuku Incident is many miles from the goofy charms of the Rush Hour series.

Dark, grimy and filled with conflicted characters, it's also a seriously bloody affair, with swords being jabbed through throats with alarming frequency.

Yet while it's a departure for Chan, the film's not quite the success he was probably hoping for.

The trouble is, it's a movie of two halves that don't quite mesh.

The first hour of this 166-minute feature is a gentle affair as we learn of Steelhead's childhood and see his arrival in Japan.

Then the gears crunch audibly upwards as we take a turn into flashy but familiar gangster territory. The ending's a bit sappy, too.

Anyway im giving The Shinjuku Incident a 9/10...Looking forward to jackie's next moviee...hihi...

In 1958, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school, a group of students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule. But one of the students, a mysterious girl who seems to hear whispered voices, fills her sheet of paper with rows of apparently random numbers instead.

Fast forward 50 years to the present: A new generation of students examines the contents of the time capsule and the girl's cryptic message ends up in the hands of young Caleb Myles. But it is Caleb's father, professor Ted Myles (Nicolas Cage), who makes the startling discovery that the encoded message predicts with pinpoint accuracy the dates, death tolls and coordinates of every major disaster of the past 50 years. As Ted further unravels the document's secrets, he realizes it foretells three additional events the last of which hints at destruction on a global scale and seems to somehow involve Ted and his son.

When Ted's attempts to alert the authorities fall on deaf ears, he takes it upon himself to try to prevent more destruction from taking place.

This gripping supernatural thriller charts one man's faltering steps towards belief in the ultimate order of the universe even as he finds himself surrounded by mounting chaos. With the reluctant help of Diana Whelan (Rose Byrne) and Abby, the daughter and granddaughter of the now-deceased author of the cryptic prophecies, Ted's increasingly desperate efforts take him on a heart-pounding race against time until he finds himself facing the ultimate disaster and the ultimate sacrifice.

Im giving Knowing an 10/10. I don't know why most review site i've visited gave really bad comment for this movie. I personally think this movie is brilliant and good acting by Nic Cage. Clap clap.

Slumdog Millionaire

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Slumdog Millionaire is totally awesomee! some said that the book is much better....im gonna get my hand on that book later...hohoho...so...

Danny Boyle has come up with some interesting cinema, certainly defining himself as someone above average. What he achieves in "Slumdog Millionaire" is transcend the line between inspiration and a miracle, awakening an emotional connection to the very special element great cinema can deliver. The packages might have changed, and the contents are more controversial and maybe a bit more tied to reality, certainly taking us to an exotic local, teaching us that our world extends beyond our freeway and limited perception of how more than the other half of the world's population has to deal without certainly preaching to us.

The tale of two brothers' lives is told to us through episodic flashbacks tied to an episode of India's "Who Wants to be a millionaire?". At first, the story introduces one of the brothers as being the subject of a very strong interrogation to find out whether he is being truthful about some knowledge that might be relevant to the game. As he answers the questions, we discover that this young man's life story might be more interesting than we originally expected.

There is an element of freshness in the way the story is presented, as we accompany Jamal through his life odyssey from a young child in the slums to a man who is determined to save those he loves. There are some strong emotions in the film, and Boyle's direction keeps the film dynamic and engaging.

Prepare yourself to be overtaken by emotions as varied as joy, pity, happiness, anger, revulsion, surprise, and an exhilarating conclusion rarely seen in movies anymore. This film has made me grateful to be alive and that we still have people in cinema like Boyle who understands the power and beauty of the medium. He knows that the perfect mix of a great story and the respective imagery can provoke unforgettable memories in its audience.

Im giving Slumdog Millionaire a 10/10....hey...a movie is not all about special effects or graphics....its mostly bout the story and the play (in my oppinion at least).....Slumdog Millioanaire deserved the multiple award they received! XD

Race To Witch Mountain

whoaaaa....another great movie from Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock....The Rock has never let me down in all off his movie.....haha....anyhoww...

At the beginning of Race to Witch Mountain, a UFO crashes somewhere in the desert surrounding Las Vegas. Some evil government agents, Henry Burke (Ciaran Hinds) and Matheson (Tom Everett Scott) among them, immediately jump into turbo gear and spend the film attempting to capture the UFO’s occupants for research purposes. Meanwhile, The Rock, as cab driver Jack Bruno, is only trying to keep his impeccably well-shaped nose clean and mind his own business, that is, by shuttling conspiracy theorists, fanboy Stormtroopers, and other such weirdos to and from a Las Vegas sci-fi convention. Bruno, who could probably do better than Vegas, is an ex-con who served time for running errands for the mob, but, as he insists more than once, all that is in the past. Well, Bruno only thinks he’s out, but, naturally, they’re trying to pull him back in.

Seriously? You’d better believe it.

So, after a heated argument with two such mob thugs, Bruno returns to his cab to find that two eerily well-mannered teenagers, Sara (AnnaSophia Robb) and Seth (Alexander Ludwig), have somehow materialized in the back seat. These teens—who look like Dresden Dolls (in the sense of V.C. Andrews’ Flowers In The Attic series, not the “Brechtian punk cabaret” musical act) and talk like Vicki the robot of “Small Wonder” fame—are in a hurry. They flash some cash, and Bruno’s lead foot hits the pedal. Oddly, Bruno doesn’t seem to mind risking his immanent return to prison even though these kids are carrying a shitload of money and are being pursued by all manner of law enforcement. Such pesky plot inconsistencies are no big deal, for, without such logical gaps, The Rock wouldn’t be in this film. Besides, these kids, who are shape-shifting, mind-reading, telekinetic aliens, don’t really even need Bruno’s help to get to their titular destination. You see, Sara and Seth have travelled to Earth to find something necessary for their planet’s survival. If their mission fails, Earth will be destroyed, and, to further complicate matters, the bounty-hunting Siphon, a pathetic attempt at a Terminator-styled robot, has followed the alien teens to our lovely planet. So, it’s basically up to skeptical Bruno The Rock to save the world from what would otherwise be certain obliteration. This is, arguably, a much more ambitious project than The Game Plan, but Race to Witch Mountain carries far less charm than its predecessor. Instead, this sci-fi action flick is barely passable for killing some popcorn but panders mostly towards the no-attention span generation.

Im giving Race to Witch Mountain a 8.5/10

SexDrive

oh oh oh...another movie i watch recently was SexDrive.....i've decided not to watch the cinema version of SexDrive since the Dvd version is much cooler...more skins, dirty scene and dirty cursing words...ahhaa....well any way i'll go on with my review of the movie...the basic idea is familiar ( teenage sex comedy) one virgin, an online hookup, a road trip...as are the backdrops (the mall, suburbia) the central conceit (the hero wants sex but, gee whiz, Andy Hardy, what he really wants is love); the character dynamics (triangular); the repartee (“dude”); the hormonally charged desperation (tasteless sight-gag alert)...well its typical...but what happen during the 2 hours 9 minutes (cinema version is only 102 minutes including credits..lol) is totally diffrent ..thats what make each of these kind of movie interesting....hahaha anyhow....imma give it 9/10 hohoho...Amanda Crew (Felicia) is total hot....oh how i wish...lol....XD

DragonBall Evolution

wahhaha....i cant believe that Hall 8 at Growball Cineplex could actually full house....13/03/09 we went to buy tickets for Dragonball Evolution at 9pm for 9.50 show...there was not a single seat that was freee.....so we had to wait for the next show which is two hours later...stupidly i picked the second row seat(all seat behind are full) which likely has the same level as the front row...so we had to kasi panjang our neck since the person infront tinggi-tinggi ...should pilih the front row in the first place....aduii...anyway....i have to give Dragonball evolution 6/10.....the special effect, the fighting was real nice ...James Wong did a great job for that....on the other hand...the plot was totally out from the original dragonball by Akira Toriyama....Goku going to highschool??? Goku french kissing??? Muten Roshi is much younger than Gohan??? LOL...i think that's why they call it Dragonball "EVOLUTION"...its something diffrent from the original but at the same time keeping the identity of dragon ball...XD
